The cron expression 0 * * * 1-5 fires at minute 0 of every hour, Monday through Friday. This produces 24 executions per weekday (120 per week), providing regular updates throughout business and non-business hours on working days.

Hourly weekday schedules are common for production monitoring, regular data pipeline runs, periodic cache invalidation, and hourly reporting. Excluding weekends reduces unnecessary processing when business activity is minimal.

To limit to business hours only, add an hour range: 0 9-17 * * 1-5 runs hourly from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. For every 2 hours on weekdays, use 0 */2 * * 1-5.
